Volunteers Needed to help at Pink Ribbon Celebration

Update 8/26/2010: Thanks to the generous offering of support, we now have enough volunteers for this event!

The Indianapolis Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® can always use the help of supporters like you to fulfill our mission. Some of our volunteer opportunities are event specific and others support our day-to-day operations.

What’s happening:

Our annual survivor event, Pink Ribbon Celebration, is Sunday, September 26th, at 11 a.m. at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, IN. Volunteers are needed to assist with registration, merchandise sales (before and after the program), and act as greeters.

Can we have a few hours of your time to work this important event?

How you can help:

Volunteers should expect to arrive by 10:30 a.m. and stay until 2:30 p.m.  Volunteers should be dressed in business casual clothing (preferably pink). By volunteering for a role, you will be able to enjoy the luncheon and program free of charge ($35 ticket for non-survivors, survivors are always free).

Breast cancer survivors are welcome to volunteer as well.  They will be excused in time for the luncheon and program.

If you would like to attend the 2010 Pink Ribbon Celebration but not serve as a volunteer, you should register now.  Breast cancer survivors are free of charge and their family and friends are $35 each.
