Race for the Cure^® 

Susan G. Komen for the Cure has developed a compelling educational initiative called I AM THE CURE.™. The goal of the I AM THE CURE.™ initiative is to educate everyone touched by the Komen Race for the Cure^® series about  the importance of a positive breast health program and to empower people to take charge of their own breast health.

I AM THE CURE.™ is the Komen's rallying cry, encouraging women to take an active role in their breast health — to become educated about breast cancer and understand that being aware is the first step in that process.

I AM THE CURE.™ is a rallying cry that is emotional, memorable and motivational.  It speaks to the importance of early detection, since early detection is the best defense, and provides simple, action-oriented messages that Race participants can take home and put into action.
