What's New In the Grant Process

The 2010 Grant RFP is now available for download.

The Request for Proposal is due July 24, 2009 by 5:00 p.m. We will need one electronic copy emailed to wendy_noe@komenindy.org and one orginal copy postmarked by July 24th mailed to:

There is a MANDATORY grant writing workshop on May 28th, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Indianapolis Affiliate Office: 1099 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis. In the basement conference room. This is MANDATORY for any organization interested in submitting a grant proposal.  Please RSVP your attendance to wendy_noe@komenindy.org. A continental breakfast will be provided.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to discover cures.  To meet this promise, Affiliates rely on information obtained through the Community Profile process to guide them in work that must be accomplished within the community.  The purpose of the Community Profile intends to:

  • Drive inclusion efforts within the community
  • Establish focused granting priorities
  • Establish focused education needs
  • Strengthen sponsorship efforts to tell Komen story
  • Drive public policy efforts
  • Establish directions for marketing and outreach
  • Align strategic plans with operations and affiliate goals

This document should be used as a framework for identifying service gaps in our community’s breast health and cancer needs.  This document also contains information on the state of breast cancer at the local level.  2009-2010 Community Profile.
