Project Name: Patient Navigation, Provider Education, and Expanded Spanish Interpretation Services for Wishard Health Services Patients.
Synopsis: Wishard serves Marion County’s most vulnerable, low-income and un- or underinsured population. They will provide patient navigation to patients diagnosed with breast cancer. A bilingual outreach coordinator will provide outreach to women who have breast cancer or are due for a mammogram, as well as provide recruitment within the Latino Community. The navigator will facilitate training at nine community health centers to educate providers on the importance of early detection.
