Every day Komen Central Indiana grantees are making a difference in the 21 Central Indiana counties we serve. This is possible because of the generous donations and funds we raise throughout the year.

Requests from non-profits for grant support in 2011 have increased to record levels! There are many Hoosiers who need our help throughout the year and so, we’re launching a new way for generous supporters like you to join the promise to find the cure for breast cancer.  You can become a Komen hero!

How your monthly gift will make an impact

Some day soon we will find a cure.  We will put an end to this disease that takes the lives of our friends, mothers, sisters and colleagues.  But the path to a cure takes time and central Indiana women need our help today!   Hundreds of Hoosier women can’t afford to get a mammogram.  Thousands of Hoosier women don’t know they are at risk for breast cancer.  Too many Hoosier women find a lump and have no where to turn for help.  Last year, Komen Central Indiana awarded $1.6 million to local not-for-profit organizations that provide vital education, screening and patient navigator services for 30,000 low income Hoosiers. However, this year the need is even greater than ever – more than we have dollars to fund.  This is where you can help!

$5/month (one latte) will educate and provide a clinical breast exam

$10/month (a matinee and popcorn) will provide one life saving mammogram to a woman with no insurance

$25/month (one dinner out) will help a woman who has just found a lump with the diagnostic and treatment support services she will need to navigate through her cancer journey

$50/month (one massage) will provide a high risk woman with an MRI to better detect a potential cancer

Your small gift will have a big impact – a chance for a survivor to seea  daughter get married, a grandson graduate from high school or hold their first grandchild in their arms. Each month we will charge the authorized amount to your credit card.  At the end of each year you’ll receive a total receipt for tax purposes.  Choose any amount and adjust your donation level at any time.
