What: Yoplait’s “Save Lids To Save Lives” Program
When: September 15th through December 31st 2011
Where: You can buy pink lid products at any grocery store that carries Yoplait
Donation Amount: Komen Central Indiana will get 10 cents for every lid mailed from any zip code in from our 21-county service area - the Zeta International Alumnae Association will get 5 cents (as designated by Yoplait). Last year, your lid collection efforts raised $18,000 for our affiliate!
Zeta Partnership – We are collaborating with the Zeta Tau Alpha Indianapolis Alumnae Association this year - they are going to collect, clean and count the lids for us so we can mail in as many as possible from Central Indiana. Susan G. Komen has been their designated philanthropy since 1992.
Collection Bin Design Contest – We love seeing how creative people can get with designing Yoplait lid collection bins in their offices, organizations, stores, churches, etc. Shown here is the design courtesy of Meredith Reese, a Komen supporter and crafts enthusiast.
For your design, be sure to include our affiliate logo, the Yoplait logo (shown above), the Zeta logo (shown below), and the mailing address (this can even just be on the bottom – it’s just so people know where to mail the lids). You can use anything you want to hold them – Pringles cans, cereal boxes, waste bins, cottage cheese containers, anything! If you send us pictures of your bin design to info@komenindy.org and let us know who you are and/or who you’re with, we will give away 12 prizes packs:
Winners will be notified in January after the Yoplait collection program has ended.
