2010 Pink Tie Ball A Success

The Seventh Annual Pink Tie Ball took place on the 20th of February at the beautiful and historic Scottish Rite Cathedral, and it was a fabulous evening! More than 400 guests arrived for the evening to shop at the silent auction, dine on a gourmet meal and dance the night away.

Jeff and Karen Saturday were honored with our Individual Lifetime Achievement Award for their local leadership in helping to fight breast cancer, and Kroger was awarded our Corporate Achievement Award for their amazing support with Race for the Cure®. Donna Minnick spoke as the 2010 Race for the Cure Honorary Survivor. It was truly a night to remember! (See photos below)

We had a very successful evening! As we calculate our final results, we are sure to exceed $124,000 in revenue. Without the commitment and generous donations of many people, we would not have been able to achieve such amazing results.

The funds we have raised enable us to continue to fund life saving research that has generated most of today’s promising breast cancer treatments. It allows us to offer education and early detection, screening and survivor support services to thousands of women and men right here in Indiana. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and volunteers fighting to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find a cure.

Imagine life without breast cancer – together we can make that a reality!
