Wendy joined Komen Central Indiana in 2005 as the education and grants coordinator. Wendy’s role is to implement all mission outreach and breast health programs. Wendy coordinates a budget of two million dollars in local grant money and maintains a close relationship with the 17 grantees in the Komen Central Indiana’s 21-county service area. Wendy also is responsible for educating the community about breast cancer and the three-step early detection plan through interactive presentations and health fairs.

Personal Background
Wendy has been married 11 years to Birl. They have two daughters, Karey & Cameron and a yorkie terrier, Ollie. Wendy is personally and professionally committed to finding a cure to breast cancer. Five women in her family have been diagnosed with breast cancer. She just completed her 2nd Komen 3-Day, which is a 60-mile walk / fundraiser. She does it in memory of her Aunt Karey and for her daughters and nieces’ futures.
